How is a veneer different from a crown or cap?
In teeth that aren’t heavily worn or damaged a veneer can more conservatively change the shape and color by being bonded or glued to the front of the tooth. Crowns or caps are better for more damaged teeth as they provide extra strength by wrapping around the entire tooth.
How will you get the color I want?
We are fortunate to be located very close to the high end cosmetic lab we use for our patients. In many circumstances patients get to directly visit the ceramist that will be designing their smile and ensure the proper color is chosen.
What is a smile design consult?
We take a digital scan of every patients mouth on their first appointment. This can be used to design a prototype of your smile on the computer or even manufacture a physical prototype to help guide the process of redesigning your smile.
